This manuscript began with a question: what happens when explanation stops creating understanding and becomes a condition of belonging or safety? By moving beyond a literal chronology and into allegory, the book creates a symbolic landscape for examining identity, motherhood, memory, repeated misunderstanding, and the decision to stop translating oneself for people committed to a different story.
